Christopher Read’s bungalow unfortunately suffered a major flood and was damp for quite some time before Ideal Response were called to carry out the flood damage repairs. This incident resulted in water flooding up through the floors, and after a very short period was subject to mould infestation.

THE IDEAL SOLUTION

Ideal Response were quickly on scene to begin the flood water extraction, removing the flood water from the remaining carpets. We then completed a thorough clean and decontamination to all of the areas affected by mould. Once this work was completed the rapid Flood Drying System was installed to stabilise conditions within the building. A number of moisture surveys later – and with the flood drying equipment positioned around the floor. The property was drying efficiently, and allowing the project to move onto the next stage. No cleaning of personal items were required at this time.

A thorough deep clean and sanitisation was carried out on the property before the rapid drying was completed. As seen below the rapid drying was very effective and dried the property far quicker than the Insurer and Loss Adjuster had envisaged.

The flood damage caused major dampness to the majority of the ground floor.
